Round The Island Race 2022 | Cowes 25th Julne 2022

£665.00

The Round The Island Race is the biggest yacht race in the World – if you only ever do one race, then this has to be the one. With around 1600 boats there is a huge range of skills from Olympians on high performance race yachts to family cruisers out for the day, this is an event not to be missed.

Racing from our home berth in Cowes, around the Needles for a 60nm race ending back in Cowes, this is a great event. Lots of fun onboard, and a great post race party ashore in Cowes, it is the highlight of the Solent sailing year.

Suitable for novices and experienced sailors alike, we support and encourage all our crew.

We have a training day on Friday 2nd July, where we all get to know each other and get used to the boat before eating together ashore that evening. After an early night, race day on Saturday is always an early start. Post race party in Cowes on Saturday night, then a leisurely sail on Sunday for those wanting more time on the water before heading home.

The Yacht
An offshore race prepared Beneteau First 40.7, the most successful cruiser racer ever built. Complete with race sails and several spinnakers, the boat is fast, safe and easily sailed. Down below, we have all (most) mod cons and is very comfortable. We sail with a crew of 8, so there is always an opportunity to get involved or for those wanting to soak in the experience, sit back and enjoy the ride!
